Position Profile:
Develops and executes the annual Sales and Marketing plan. Direct, motivate and lead the Sales, PR, Events and Reservations team through implementation of effective sales strategies in line with overall hotel positioning. Optimize rooms and food & beverage revenues, while maximizing the balance between Team Member, Guest, and Owner satisfaction.
Ø With high integrity, leads and develops their team in delivering legendary Oetker Collection hospitality according to brand standards
Ø Inspire a prominent level of creativity, personal commitment to service excellence and an emotional sense of gracious hospitality, ensuring delivery of 5-star experience to guests while optimizing all revenue opportunities
Ø Develops and continually adjusts a strategic marketing plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
Ø In conjunction with the Head of Reservations & Revenue Management, develop, implement, monitor, and recommend sales strategies, packages, yield strategy, room rate mix, space release policies, contracts, catering segment mix, and pricing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue from high potential leisure and corporate business
Ø Continually monitors forward economic conditions to anticipate consumer buying patterns to project demand patterns, provide input to forecasting occupancy and average daily rate, and REVPAR, plus complete reports
Ø Analyse competitor data and industry trends and adjusts strategic plans accordingly
Ø Participate in recruitment of Sales Associates and effectively train, recognize, schedule, provide performance feedback and conduct performance correction if required
Ø Inspire and motivate Sales Managers to achieve targeted goals through market research, online data, trade shows, journals, sales analysis
Ø Maintain and update reports and manuals for Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Communications to benchmark success and gauge sales and marketing efforts
Ø Work with Sales Managers to ensure proper coverage of key accounts, assist with site inspections, client entertainment, trade shows, and fam trips, as appropriate
Ø Leads the Sales Team and utilizes effective Customer Relationship Management techniques and implement initiatives to build and maintain relationships for active and potential clientele
Ø Effectively direct communication efforts within department including contracts, proposals, and scripting for site inspections, maintain positive communication with all departments in the hotel, particularly collaborate with Revenue Management, Reservations, Rooms, and F&B Divisions.
Ø Ensure compliance to all hotel policies, procedures, programs
