We have an exceptional opportunity to join our Library Bar & Withdrawing Room Team at The Lanesborough.

 

Library Bar

 

A destination in itself, The Library Bar attracts guests in residence and locals alike. Retaining an intimate, club-like atmosphere with a welcoming ambience. Awarded the 'Cognac Drinks List of the Year' by Imbibe Magazine, the bar offers some of the oldest, rarest Cognacs in London. A unique experience amongst London's vibrant bar scene, the bar is home to Cognacs from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, fine Champagnes and spectacular cocktails by a team of award-winning bartenders. The pace by day is leisurely; by night the tempo builds as music entertainment unfolds. The team are exceptionally passionate about their cocktail creations.

 

Withdrawing Room 

 

The Withdrawing Room is a light and elegant setting for an informal meeting, leisurely lunch, afternoon tea or an opportunity to relax over a drink with friends. Sumptuously decorated with hand-painted trompe l’oeil marbling and chandeliers, it offers a luxurious yet relaxing ambience, complemented by a sumptuous tea collection, premium coffees and light bites.

Candidate Profile

 

As a Lounge Bar Waiter/Waitress you will provide an exceptional guest service experience. You will be an excellent communicator and take a hands-on approach to your role. You will have a real passion for food and wine, enabling you to up sell and promote the items by your personal knowledge from the menu. You will be a team player to ensure that your team create a memorable experience for our guests.

 

Key Requirements

 

The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • London experience and familiarity with a hotel environment is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent command of the English language and a second language would be preferred
  • Immaculate grooming standard
  • Please note this role requires an element of manual handling
