Position Profile:
The Restaurant Server Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional and personalized service to our guests in a fast-paced, high volume dining environment, ensuring a seamless and luxury dining experience.
* Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive at the restaurant, maintain a professional deminer as a support to the server and bartender teams.
* Provide support to the server team throughout the sequence of service including but not limited to performing amenity services such as water service and bread service.
* Preform food running duties including tableside cart services, preform stock of the expediting line items and food services mise en place.
* Control communications from the kitchen to the restaurant floor, assisting to minimize errors or mistakes.
* Upsell menu items such as high-margin drinks, food specials, or bottled water, in accordance with the restaurant's sales goals.
* Process guest orders through the restaurant’s POS system, ensuring that billing is accurate, following the restaurant’s credit and cash handling policies, and that any special requests or preferences are noted.
* Collaborate closely with the other servers, bartenders, kitchen hoteliers, and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient service, fulfilling guests' orders in a timely and accurate manner contributing to a personalized guest journey.
* Respond to guest feedback and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional, calm, and solution-oriented manner, and keep management informed of any issues, concerns or requests that require immediate attention and follow-up.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift, including cleaning and resetting tables, taking out trash, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area.
* Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
* Assist with inventory tracking, including keeping an eye on supplies (napkins, utensils, condiments) and informing management when stock is low.
* Complete opening and closing duties as assigned, including setting up and breaking down the dining room area, restocking supplies, cleaning up after the shift, and preparing for service.
* Maintain a thorough knowledge of wine, cocktails, and other beverages as well as the hotel’s services, facilities, and amenities to offer recommendations to guests.
* Uphold the hotel’s luxury brand values by providing personalized service and anticipating guests’ needs without being intrusive.
* Ensure that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and reflect a professional image for our guests.
* Inspire an elevated level of creativity, personal commitment to service excellence and an emotional sense of gracious hospitality to enhance the restaurant’s luxury ambience.
Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required.
