Position Profile:
Oversees the daily operations of the Housekeeping, Uniform & Laundry department, ensuring outstanding cleanliness, detail, care, and maintenance of guestrooms, public and heart of house areas through supervisory direction of Associates, maximizing the balance between Guest and Owner satisfaction.
With high integrity, ensures a 5-star experience to guests and leads team members in providing Oetker Collection hospitality.
Inspires a high level of creativity, personal commitment to service excellence and an emotional sense of gracious hospitality.
Hands-on supervision of Service Leaders, Room Attendants, Housepersons and Uniform & Laundry Attendants and effectively coach, train, motivate, communicate, recognize, schedule, provide performance feedback and conduct performance correction when necessary.
Participates in recruitment and retention of Service Leaders, Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry and Valet staffing.
Ensures compliance to all hotel policies, standards, and procedures, diligently manages inventory controls, departmental budgets, and safety programs.
Implements and manages training programs for different areas and staffing levels.
Responsible for administrative work for the Housekeeping, Laundry & Valet Department.
Maintains and ensures timely and accurate records for payroll administration on behalf of the department.
Monitors and maintains inventory of departmental supplies.
Analyses monthly reports and reviews opportunities for improvement.
Responsible for compiling monthly/bi-yearly/yearly reports for Corporate office.
Monitors the Performance Monitor and Defect Tracking system.
Conducts quality inspections of housekeeping and laundry services.
Undertakes other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required.
Initiates and maintains effective communication between the Housekeeping department and all other departments especially Front Office, Engineering.
