Bar Manager - Garden Room

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate Head Housekeeper to join a fantastic team at the Lanesborough.

 

Awarded No. 1 Hotel in London in the Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards, on the doorstep of Hyde Park, just a short walk from Harrods, Harvey Nichols and London’s most exclusive shopping district; Sloane Street and Knightsbridge, this grand luxury mansion has undergone an inspired renovation by the famed interior designer Alberto Pinto. The hotel is home to 93 luxurious suites and bedrooms, modern British dining at The Lanesborough Grill, the vibrant Library Bar and Garden Room and the magnificent Lanesborough Club & Spa.

Candidate Profile

As a Garden Room Manager (Bar Manager) you will be an exceptional team leader and have a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience. Working within a professional team, you will ensure you are fully conversant with the menus/items and presentation accompaniments and able to make recommendations to our guests. During service, you will take ownership of the guest experience with an emphasis on guest recognition and personalisation to create a memorable experience. You will communicate effectively between your team, the Kitchen brigade, as well as other department HODs.

 

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Managerial bar experience in a luxury establishment essential and experience within London is desired.
  • Excellent command of the English language and a second language would be preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience of managing a team in 5* luxury environment
  • Immaculate grooming standards
  • Proven track record of managing and developing a team
  • Preferably excellent knowledge of spirits & cigars
  • Confident with various procedures such as performance reviews, recruitment and training
  • Please note this role requires an element of manual handling
