Jumby Bay Island is pleased to be a part of The Oetker Collection, which is the most inspiring selection of masterpiece hotels in the world.


The Managing Director will lead an Executive Team of 6 direct reports, as well as provide an excellent customer experience to the resort guests, building strong relationships with the homeowners and improve all the aspects of the resort operations. The Managing Director will also establish goals and strategies to create a guest-focused luxury experience.


The Managing Director must possess the ability to train, motivate, evaluate, mentor and direct employees and managers to achieve desired results. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with at least 10-15 years of experience in the Hospitality industry, with preferred previous experience in the Caribbean and other luxury destinations.

  • International experience as a General Manager in an ultra-luxury Resort.
  • Strong operational experience to best support F&B and Rooms departments.
  • Capabilities of building a strong Executive Team aligned with the Oetker Collection philosophy.
  • High consideration for talent development and fairness in team members’ treatment. High diversity awareness.
  • Strong experience in managing luxury properties under management contract.
  • High ability to interact with demanding guests within a luxury, all-inclusive industry.
  • High focus to champion Jumby Bay Island brand.
  • Financial management acumen with the ability to analyze P&L statements, develop operating budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
  • Demonstrate extensive track record of uplifting the service standards of a 5-star environment.
  • Experience managing relationship with resort owners, as well as management company.
  • Experience in a minimum of three (3) divisions of resort operations.
  • Full Fluency of the English language, both written and spoken. Fluency in a second language an asset.
  • This role requires the job holder to be able to work flexible hours.
