Position Profile:

 

Assists the Head of IS&T to install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, networks, and supports hotel guests and team members.

  • Install or upgrade computer systems and networks in the workplace.
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and other IT equipment issues.
  • Secures computer networks by performing periodic upgrades to firewalls.
  • Conducts performance checks for newly installed software or hardware.
  • Upgrades the IT systems, in each computer of the organization.
    Responsible for maintaining and upgrading hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with different IT equipment.
  • Coordinating with developers, testers, IT managers and other IT staff to resolve technical issues.
  • Runs periodic backups to ensure availability during failures or outages.
  • Maintaining hardware and software inventory

Core Competencies:

 

  • Knowledge of how an operating system (OS) functions and configure on different hardware systems.
  • Knowledge about the features and utilities provided by different OS for troubleshooting.
  • Understands the different security measures offered to help configure security settings or add additional compatible software to secure IT systems.
  • Fundamental knowledge of network topologies, protocols, security, and network management.
  • Troubleshoots networking issues such as a faulty cable, a misconfigured router, or a software issue to provide quick resolutions.
  • Assist to secure the network infrastructure from cyberattacks by installing firewalls, installing malware protection, updating software, and setting up virtual private networks (VPNs).

Education & Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's or diploma in computer science or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in IT support or a related role
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and tools such as firewalls, antivirus software and intrusion detection and prevention systems is preferable.

 

Must be presently legal to work in the USA to be considered.
