The Assistant Engineering Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the property’s overall maintenance and operational efficiency. By working closely with the Director of Facilities, the Assistant Engineering Manager coordinates and oversees the maintenance team, ensuring that all equipment, machinery, and facilities are properly maintained to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

At Jumby Bay Island we require our managers to not only be highly competent in their field but also thrive on being accountable and responsible for the success, performance, and welfare of their team and the operation.



Competitive remuneration package.



  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a dynamic luxury resort, hospitality service or consumer-led organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of machinery, equipment and facility maintenance best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations and protocols.
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Second Language would be an asset – minimum level: conversational.
  • This role requires the job holder to be able to work flexible hours.
  • Respectful leader with a desire to grow talent.
  • Valid Driver’s License (minimum C Class) to operate company vehicle(s).
