Position Profile:

 

To lead and develop our people support functions, including culture, learning & development, business partnering, recruitment, HR services and internal communications. This is a senior role, with overall responsibility for 180 team members and is a member of the Senior Management Team.

 

Ø  Lead the People & Culture team to drive Oetker Collection culture and the team member experience

 

Ø  Provide people & culture consultation to the General Manager and leaders through thoughtful, concise, and strategic advice

 

Ø  Partner with executive committee team in the development of the annual business plan and budget

 

Ø  Build a strong career and succession planning system to retain and develop talent

 

Ø  Responsible for all compensation and benefit programs including managing plan renewal

 

Ø  Manage and resolve, promptly and completely, all employee relations issues

 

Ø  Guide and administer coaching and progressive discipline

 

Ø  Liaise with stakeholders as required on various matters from employment issues to immigration

 

Ø  Use judgment supported by business acumen and practical experience to escalate matters as required

 

Ø  Ensure compliance with Florida's legislated employment standards, guidelines, and human rights codes

 

Ø  Comply with and enforce polices & procedures and the Team Member Handbook.

 

Ø  Ensure human resources team is partnering with operational managers to drive service quality and consistency initiatives throughout property, ensuring customer satisfaction scores are maintained and improved

 

Ø  Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

 

Ø  5 + years’ experience in Human Resources with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity

 

Ø  Previous hospitality experience is required; experience in a luxury environment is an asset

 

Ø  Degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources Management or equivalent

 

Ø  Certified Human Resources Leader designation is an advantage

 

Must be presently legal to work in USA to be considered.
