 Hotel La Palma - Capri’s first hotel, built in 1822, currently being transformed into an elegant and exclusive 50-room-and-suite hotel. We are looking for Sommeliers who will show their passion for wine and food to our guests, and create a respectful relationship to accompany them in our rich culinary experience throughout their stay.

 

- Provide expert wine knowledge to guests, with creativity, personal commitment and an emotional sense of true hospitality.

- With great integrity, ensure guests experience the highest culinary standards of a 5-star hotel.

- Meet service needs proactively, on time and professionally, with an attention to detail and efficiency.

- Maintain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of wines, other beverages, competitors and practices in the industry.

- Have and maintain expert knowledge of wine, including appropriate recommendations for vintages, food-wine pairings, vineyards and comparisons, as required.

- Greet guests, meet food, beverage and other service needs as required, and ensure expenses are properly recorded in guest files.


 

Compensation & Benefits

 

 - Monthly gross salary 2500€

- Thirteenth and fourteenth month's salary paid by the end of the season together with TFR and untaken holidays

- Working knowledge - Passion for food and willingness to exceed expectations in service excellence, with good knowledge of international gastronomy, wine and beverages.

- Wine Expertise - Thorough knowledge of wine.

- Sommelier training and title required.
