The IT Manager delivers advanced knowledge and expertise in managing Information Technology while demonstrating hospitality business familiarity, to support the hotel to achieve their technology related objectives. The position apart from technical knowledge requires also skills in planning, decision-making, finance, team management, communication and troubleshooting.

 

The IT Manager handles the development and the implementation of common IT process, documentation, tools and procedures to ensure a good coordination, communication and synergies between the different Hotel departments, the corporate office and the vendors.

 

Managing Projects and Technology:

  • Coordinates the communication for all new system installations and problem resolutions.
  • Supports and assists in all technology systems integrations and standards definitions of his hotel.
  • Provides project management support or lead for new rollouts/implementations.
  • Responsible for the Hotel compliance with all IT corporate policies and guidelines.
  • Conducts and documents periodic inventories of software and hardware.
  • Provides timely, accurate and detailed status reports.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding technology/asset life-cycles.
  • Ensures that Hotel is properly equipped in terms of PCs, hardware, servers etc.
  • Foresees, identifies, analyzes and resolves IT problems
  • Ensures implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Ensures Hotel is securing and maintaining all technology assets.
  • Ensures availability of current documentation for
    cabling, networks and systems.

Forecasting and Budgeting:

  • Reviews operating statements; researches and resolves discrepancies in technology billing charges
  • Advises the Hotel management to adequately address technology needs in short- and long-term planning.

  • Reviews vendor proposals and selects appropriate vendor for local technologies/hardware.

Communication and Managing People & Culture:

  • Communicates IT standards and best practices to the Hotel.
  • Presents proposals, analyses, projects and cost-models.
  • Is viewed as a credible leader by subordinates, peers, and senior management.
  • Provides IT support to hotel guests, local teams and end users.
    Responsible for training, development, and performance management of direct subordinates.

Core Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • International experience is a plus
  • English and other languages
  • Minimum 3 years experiences as IT Manager in Hospitality Industry

Education:

  • 4 to 5 years of higher education
