People & Culture Manager

We are looking for an experienced and passionate People & Culture Manager who can deliver exceptional colleague service and assist in leading and driving the Lanesborough Culture.

 

As a People & Culture Manager, you will support the Executive Head of People & Culture in all people related tasks within the hotel. This will be an individual who can drive engagement, strategize on best talent acquisition practices, analyse people data, coach and mentor managers and help elevate the employee experience as a whole.

 

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide support to the Heads of Department with P&C related areas.
  • To become familiar with company policies, procedures and guidelines in order to provide accurate advice and guidance to all line managers and employees.
  • To ensure that P&C policy and procedures are followed throughout the hotel.
  • Provide support to the Employees with HR / P&C related areas.
  • Assist in the development of any required new HR / P&C processes and initiatives and communication of these within the hotels
  • Ensure that the company disciplinary, grievance and appeal procedures are adhered to on all occasions.
  • Act as an advisor to HOD’s, providing guidance on legal issues and best practice.
  • Oversee the execution of core HR / P&C processes i.e., colleague communications meeting, absence management, holiday planning, exit interviews, probation reviews etc.
  • Co-ordinate and manage the in-house Employee Opinion Surveys including, administration and follow up procedures
  • To co-ordinate the hotels performance review system 
  • Assists the People & Culture Coordinator with the Hotel Induction process and sees all new starters through to welcoming them to the hotel and into their departments.
  • Deliver ad hoc projects, assisting in project administration for the development of initiatives and their implementation.
  • To manage all recruitment within the hotel using agreed systems of work and ensuring that any legislation is adhered to.
  • Monitors and communicate recruitment progress to Heads of Department and the People & Culture Team on a regular basis.
  • In conjunction with the Executive Head of People & Culture, identify and develop strategic recruitment methods to ensure we are sourcing the high calibre candidates for selection and keep our competitive position in the market.
  • Liaises with Heads of Department on a regular basis to identify recruitment needs and Identify and Support Succession Planning in all departments of the hotel.
  • Attend Recruitment Fairs to promote the culture of the hotel and the opportunities.

Candidate Profile


As a People & Culture Manager, you will support the Executive Head of People & Culture in all people related tasks within the hotel. This will be an individual who can drive engagement, strategize on best talent acquisition practices, analyse people data, coach and mentor managers and help elevate the employee experience as a whole.

Key Requirements


The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Previous People & Culture / HR experience within hospitality, preferably in a luxury environment 
  • London experience is desirable but not essential
  • Good understanding of UK Employment Law 
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal
  • Copes well with pressure and changes to the working environment
  • Well groomed appearance
  • Proven track record of engaging and motivating others
  • Confident with managing the employee lifecycle
